Departmental Shifts

Mission: First Strike
Location: Security Offices, USS Manoora

Anders had been given his new Pip. He was now a Lieutenant Commander and by default was the Second Officer onboard the Manoora following the departures and the changes. He adjusted his Pips as he stood by the Mirror in his Quarters, the sight of the Gold Undershirt was a little bit unnerving at first but he knew it was all part of the change.

He gathered up his PADD's and proceeded to his new Office in the Security section of the Ship, he had a new Department to meet.

After taking the Turbolift to where he needed to go, Anders adjusted his Uniform and proceeded inside the Security Offices to meet the staff he was now commanding. He looked around and noticed several Officers gathered around one of the desks.

"Hello everyone." Anders said as he approached, seeing them all snap to attention. "As you were." He commented as he took his position at the Desk. "As I am sure you are all aware, the Chief of Security has departed Manoora for a place on the Majestic." The Commander then noticed a few confused faces at the sight of the former Intel Officer stood in Gold rather than Red. "As a result of this, Captain Whitlam has given me the job effective immediately."

There were a few nods from the Ensigns and Lieutenants. Though some did look a little confused as to why none of them were considered for such a position.

"I know that it has been difficult over the last few months given the comings and goings, but I assure you that this Department will continue to excel as it did before the shakeups." Anders said skimming through his PADD. "Here is how we go about things, Lieutenant Saeed you will be acting as Deputy head of Department until further notice."

Saeed nodded at the Commander. "Aye Sir."

Anders drew his attention towards the Ensigns. "Alken, Hyland both of you are on Armory Duty." The Commander said to them both. "I want this Ship to be ready for anything."

He turned to his other assembled staff. "The rest of you, I will be organising the duty roster to make sure I have everyone at the right places at the right time." He knew it was hard to adjust to constant changes but this would be the very last for a while. "We are going to show the Dominion that this Ship isn't going to be beaten without a fight."

His Staff looked approvingly towards their new Boss.

"Alright everybody, I want Status Reports from all sections in two hours, Dismissed." Anders commented before looking towards his new Desk and Office and getting himself up to speed with what was going on. It was going to be an interested learning curve as of now.
