Hi dad! Mom said she's still taking these all out to your grave and playing them for you... so I guess I'll keep sending them.

It's weird... you've been gone for a while now, but for some reason talking to you still... it makes me feel better.

I'm excited and a little scared right now. There's a war brewing... already brewed over from the looks of it, and they're sending me and my boys to the front lines. Delta Company is a damn good bunch, dad. You'd like them. We're going to do a lot of damage out there. I already promised mom I'd come home, so don't worry. You know I don't break my promises. You taught me that.

I'll write as often as I can, and let you guys know I'm okay. And I will be okay, I promise. Wish me luck! And yes... I've got the lighter. It never leaves my side.

I love you, daddy. I miss you a lot. A lot.
