Rules

Posting Requirements/Activity

  • Players are expected to log in and post regularly. This generally means that you take part in all joint posts in which you are included in a timely fashion.

  • You are not expected to log in every day but if you are AWOL for longer than 14 days without contact, you run the risk of being removed from the manifest without warning. The Commanding Officer will endeavour to contact you after this 14 day period with an activity warning and, if your posting has not improved or if you have not logged in for one month, you will be removed from the manifest without further notification.

  • If you go on ELOA and do not return on the expected date, you will be contacted to ensure you intend to return to the game.

  • From the point you are warned about activity, you have 3 days to respond to one of the command staff. If you are notified more than once about your activity, you run the risk of being removed from the manifest without any additional warnings being given. Basically, if you don't have the decency to get in touch with us, we won't waste our time chasing you up.

  • All the command staff asks is to be kept informed. If you have something on and you can't get on the internet to fill in tags then that's fine; after all, this isn't a job, it's supposed to be fun. However, if you don't let us know then it means we may not be able to work around you and it will leave people trying to work out where you've gone. Keep in touch with us and we'll be a-okay.

    Age Requirement

You must be 13 Years or Older to participate in this game. Upon joining, you will be subject to verify that you are 13 years or older.

    Banned Species

Fleet regulations specify certain species that are not allowed and certain species are 'undiscovered' by this time period. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Horta
  • Q
  • Androids
  • Borg (unless liberated from the collective)
  • Dominion Species (except Cardassians)
  • Delta Quadrant Species
  • Shapeshifters of all types

These have been banned to maintain a somewhat realistic sense to the sims to help provide a fun environment for all players and avoid 'Superhero Syndrome'. If you have a question about playing a character, drop us a line.

    Strike System

USS Manoora utilises a strike system. Strikes can be issued for a number of reasons, although strikes on the Manoora are generally given for disciplinary matters rather than inactivity. Inactivity is punished much more simply: by removal.

When given a strike, a player will receive written notification of the strike, and written notification as to what he or she should do to rectify the situation. If the player does not follow the intructions within a given period of time (generally seven (7) days), he or she will receive another strike.

When a player is given his or her second strike, they will also receive a demotion in rank. If the player is already at the lowest rank possible for his or her rank group (Line Officer, Warrant Officer, or Enlisted Officer), the player will receive a note of reprimand in their permanent Pegasus Fleet record.

When a player gains his or her third strike, they will be removed from the manifest. In this event, the player may rejoin the Manoora after a period of sixty (60) days.

    Harassment

To clarify the situation, when a player feels as though they are being harassed then they are being harassed. This game is here for everyone's enjoyment and harassment or irritation will not be tolerated. If there is any form of harassment of a player, the offender will be warned and may be subject to a strike if it continues.

    In Conclusion

These are not complicated rules and they keep the interests of every player in the game at heart. We want you to enjoy your experience and we want to make sure that you feel you can come to us if there are any issues.

Most important from our point of view is communication. Let us know if you're going to be inactive or you're going to fall behind with posting and we'll see what we can do to help you; don't just let it mount up until you feel like you can't get back into the swing of things.
