Her outgoing and assured nature makes it easy for her to make friends, but also ruffles a lot of feathers. Learning to reign in her exuberant energy will go a long way to make her a great officer. In the meantime, most superior officers simply try and point her in the right direction and hope for the best.

Personal History Born to parents who were strong believer in a well rounded education, she was raised with literature, music, art and science of all sorts. Curiosity in all things was fostered with great care. Both parents being scientists she was pushed to explore and question the world around her. Her brother fostered a sense of competition, setting for her goals and achievements to attain and surpass.

She fell in love with sports of all kinds growing up, spending as much time learning new ways to get hurt as she did learning about Klingon epics or Bajoran poetry.
When she came of age, she joined Starfleet as both her parents and brother had. It only seemed the logical thing to do. The restrictive and disciplined confines of the academy did not agree with her at first. It took encouragements from both her parents and a few teachers to help her get through her first year. She somehow found a rhythm that worked and managed to enjoy her time there.

As time passed it became very clear she had a grave problem. Juggling too many courses and sporting teams, she came very close to burning herself out. Some time with a counselor and a few difficult judgement calls helped alleviate the mounting tension. Which left her with only one big problem; what to major and minor in. Everything was just too darn interesting to choose just one thing. Deciding she could do a double major, she still had to figure out what. In the end, there was also the question of which branch she'd choose. Science would be easy, but she had found an interest in both engineering and operations as well. Then there was the fact her assertiveness and physical aptitudes could make her a decent security officer.
In the end, she graduated an Operations officer with a Major in probability mechanics and forensic sciences. Starfleet’s openness to cross training helped her decide that whatever she hadn't learned yet, she could later on.

Her first assignment was on Deep Space 5. While not exactly glamorous, it did give her ample opportunity to learn a little of everything. She impressed her superiors with her eagerness to learn new things and willingness to do jobs others balked at. Scheduling overtime as often as was permitted and specifically making herself available to people from all divisions, she gave a hand here and there when her duties permitted. Her free time was spent expanding her repertoire of skills. She had even started learning some Cardassian with a very charming security officer, when she received new orders. After three years on a starbase, she was to transfer to the U.S.S. Galileo. Head filled with bright ideas and colorful imagery she packed her bags secure in the knowledge this was the next step in a long line of awesome next steps.

But unfortunately war broke out with the Dominion. Her ship was lost before she even got a chance to step foot on it. For several months she served aboard a Terellian transport, helping the civilian crew evacuate as many people from the border colonies. Not exactly what she had in mind when she left.

Then, after a small lull, starfleet found her again, and recalled her to starbase 375 for reassignment. Within a few days she had been promoted to full Lieutenant, and sent to the Manoora to run the Operations department. While the promotion had not been a surprise, the assignment was. It would be a challenge worth every kilojoule.
